How to Find Op-Eds

There are two main databases that will contain Op-Eds: LexisNexis and Proquest Newspapers.

Proquest is the easiest to use.

Proquest Newspapers
**Click on “Clear All Databases”
**Scroll down and click on Proquest Newspapers (this will allow you to search major national newspapers including New York Times, Wall Street Journal, etc.)

From within Proquest:
–Click on Advanced Search
–Type in Op-ed and select Document Type from the pull-down menu
–In the second search box, type in Immigration (Citation and Abstract)
–You can adjust the time period if you are only looking for recent op-eds.
–You could also add additional search terms if you wanted to narrow your topic.
